Robert Bosch GmbH (pronounced: Robert Bosch GmbH) is a German group of companies, a leading global provider of technology and services in the field of automotive and industrial technologies, consumer goods, construction and packaging technologies.

The company was founded by German entrepreneur and engineer Robert Bosch on November 15, 1886. The head office is located in Gerlingen, Germany, near Stuttgart.

According to preliminary data, in 2015, Bosch invested about 6.3 billion euros in research and development, and also filed applications for 5422 patents worldwide. About 375,000 employees generated a record turnover of € 70 billion in fiscal year 2015.

The Bosch Group of Companies includes Robert Bosch GmbH and approximately 440 subsidiaries and regional companies in approximately 60 countries. Together with its sales and service partners, Bosch is represented in almost 150 countries.
